Field Scout
This app spends real money per sweep. Reads and writes are both gated.
What the model
cannot see.
Every other app in this stack reads the same vendor. Field Scout is the only signal that is not DataGolf, so it is the only one whose agreement means anything. It reports injuries, equipment and caddie changes, travel load and status pressure — and it is forbidden from reporting form or course history, because the model already has those.
Is it real?
A notes app cannot be wrong, which is why it is worthless. This panel grades every past read against what actually happened: do players the scout liked beat their modelled make-cut rate by more than the ones it ignored? Until the interval is tighter than ten points, the honest answer is that we cannot tell.
Verdict
What it costs.
Each scouted golfer is an Anthropic call with live web search. An untracked cost is a cost that grows, so every sweep is logged with its model, its search count and what it skipped from cache.
